My Kids' Valentines

I always like to include a little candy in the kids' valentines for school.  This year, we were limited to Smarties and Dum Dums because some of my son's classmates have severe food allergies - so I had to get pretty creative. This year's valentines for the kids use punch art critters holding the candies.  I just love punch art!  All of the products used, except for some of the accessories, are Stampin' Up!

The Products I Used Are:

Stamps: Grateful Greetings, Happy Heart Day, Wild About You, Unfrogettable

My First Hybrid Scrapbook Page

Learning how to scrapbook digitally has been a fun, if somewhat confusing process.  I am really proud of this hybrid page, though, so I thought I would share it.  These are pictures of my son, Alex, and I when we got to go to Discovery Cove and participate in the Trainer for A Day program - it was so awesome!

Products I used:

Digital Papers:  Squid Ink by Creations by Rachel
Digital Template:  Scrap That by Cherie Shields
Fonts:  Gigi and Kallinga
Ribbon Fibers - Stampin' Up!

I hope I am giving credit properly - please let me know if I am not.

Welcome to The Paper Piggy

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog. You may be asking yourself, why the title "The Paper Piggy"?  Well...I love paper, I love pigs (my maiden name is Bacon) and I have a tendency to be a bit of a pig with my paper and other creative materials (I sort of hog it all).  It occured to me that it might be a lot more fun to share what I do and who I am instead of keeping it all to myself.  So, here I am!

My name is Kim Anderson and I started scrapbooking in 1994.  I was instantly hooked and my passion for paper and crafting has been continuously evolving since.  I have worked with paper and stickers, stamps, chipboard, diecuts, vinyl, buttons, brads and other embellishments.  Among all of these, I have found that I have a special fondness for glitter or anything that sparkles.  I think I need a bumper sticker that says "I like Shiny Things!"  More recently, I have delved into the world of digital scrapbooking.  I find it especially challenging - I seem to be more of a tactile person and work better when I can touch the materials I am working with as opposed to only being able to see them.  I will share with you my love for papercrafting, along with some of my life adventures, and hope you enjoy - and are perhaps even inspired by - my journey as I strive to learn and grow.
